Our youth programs for 1st-12th graders are dependent on volunteers who can support the youth’s faith development by serving the church community in a range of capacities. Volunteers can be lead teachers, co-teachers, assistants, or substitutes. They can also chaperone for youth conventions, help coordinate of special events, and facilitate fundraisers. Often volunteers notice their service positively impacts their own faith formation in the process.
All volunteers 18 years and older complete diocesan requirements to promote safe environments that align with the Catholic faith. The process includes a background check, code of conduct, affirmation of faith and the darkness to light training.
